How to keep a cat from sheding on your couch

Out of my three cats, the smallest one is the top or alpha cat. Why? Because she is not afraid of things like the other two. When I pull out the vacuum the other two jet out of the room while Dafny is determined to keep her place on the couch. Even vacuuming her, she won't leave. So either she really is not afraid of the vacuum or she was wanting me to suck up the loose hair.

    She's cute. And it looks like she's enjoying it a lot (I can almost hear her purring in the picture!) or cringing. I think it's the first one. And she would be alpha here too because both of my 100+ lb. dogs are afraid of the vaccuum
