Two years ago we began a 'Family Handshake' when Olivia was potty-training. It was something fun for her to do after she successfully used the toilet. There was three parts to the handshake, one for each member of the family. The last part, take the tip of your thumb and kind of kiss it, was Olivia's contribution. Makes complete sense since Olivia is a thumb-sucker, something we are currently working on. In the future, Lucy will add something to our family handshake.
Clever Idea Nicol, I never would have thought of something like that! You have started so many fun traditions with your family, I am sure your kids will always remember every one them fondly.
